about

In the 70s Zingale was the most ambitious rock band in Israel, playing jazz rock with progressive tendencies, mostly instrumental. After releasing several singles for the local radio, the band decided to focus on recording an epic album in English, intended for international market. The album, which was called "Peace", was eventaully released in 1977 only in Israel. The band continued to work on material in Hebrew with shifting lineup. Eventually, it disbanded in early 80s before releasing a second album.
Several years ago, Udi Tamir and Ephraim Barak, two of the original band members, started playing music together again, and realizing that the chemistry is better than ever, decided to bring Zingale back to life. A new drummer joined - Barak Ben-Zour. The band recorded the album "The Bright Side" which was released independently (available on CDBABY). Now recording songs in Hebrew.
